Amanda + Jason | Brasstown Valley Resort Wedding

Amanda + Jason | Brasstown Valley Resort Wedding

Amanda + Jason | Brasstown Valley Resort Wedding We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day for Amanda and Jason’s wedding at Brasstown Valley Resort and Spa in the mountains of northern Georgia.  After a rainy morning, the sun unexpectedly came out and was shining down on this amazing couple, and I am so glad I was there to capture this day for them!  Jason couldn’t take his eyes off of his bride from the moment she started down the aisle, and really, it’s no wonder.  Amanda looked like a fairytale princess come to life in her lacy gown.  They took their vows in front of an intimate crowd of their closest friends and family, then I was lucky enough to steal them away and take advantage of the gorgeous views that a Brasstown Valley Resort Wedding offers! As the sun set in the west, casting the sky in oranges and purples, Amanda and Jason celebrated their love.  They danced into the night with their guests to the tunes spun by DJ Nigel before being sent off beneath the waves of glow sticks, a perfect beginning for the marriage of this playful couple.  Congratulations, Amanda and Jason!  I am so honored to have played a part in the beginning of your “happily ever after”! xoxo Venue: Brasstown Valley Resort Officiant: John Jeziorske Cake Artist: Melissa’s Custom Cakes & Goodies DJ: NDL Entertainment Wedding Dress: David’s Bridal Bridesmaid Dresses: Macy’s Hair & Makeup: Ahead of Hair & More Salon Invitations: Wedding Paper Divas Groom & Groomsmen Attire: Men’s Wearhouse...
Bailey + John | Fernbank Museum Atlanta Wedding

Bailey + John | Fernbank Museum Atlanta Wedding

Bailey + John | Fernbank Museum Atlanta Wedding I have known Bailey and her family since she was a toddler – it just so happens that they were neighbors of ours growing up, and my younger brother and sister went to school with Bailey and her sister.  So when Bailey’s amazing momma called me to inquire about photographing their upcoming sacrament and reception, I was beyond thrilled!! You may remember Bailey and John from their Washington, DC engagement session at the Jefferson Memorial.  Anyone that knows me understands that I am not a morning person.  However for these two, I flew up to DC with my oldest son and got my 16 week pregnant self up at 4:30am to capture this amazing sunrise engagement session with them along the Tidal Basin.  It is literally my favorite engagement session to date, and I’m so glad I got to do it! These two lovebirds are living outside of DC and I couldn’t have been happier with how their perfect wedding day turned out!  After a traditional catholic mass and some photos outside of the gorgeous Holy Spirit Catholic Church, we moved down to Fernbank Museum of Natural History for their reception!  Lexis with The Aisle coordinated the day and the decor of the venue in such a beautiful, organic way.  It was as if the dinosaurs were an afterthought!  Such a gorgeous room!  The Cashmere band kept the guests dancing until last call – they are such a fun and interactive band!!  Bailey + John, it was such an honor to capture your day, I wish you a lifetime of happiness...

Sarah Kate + James | Emory Conference Center Hotel Wedding

Sarah Kate + James | Emory Conference Center Hotel Wedding I remember meeting Sarah Kate and her momma for the first time way back last Spring at my studio – she and James had just moved here from Orlando and were navigating a new city and planning a wedding.  Busy was an understatement!  When I met with them to photograph their engagement photos, I knew that Sarah Kate took her photos seriously as she hired a professional makeup artist to come with us to their session to make sure that she looked her absolute best.  What a dream!  Their wedding day was filled with sweet moments, from their intimate first look at the Houston Mill House to their first kiss and dance as husband and wife.  The Emory Conference Center hotel was as gorgeous as always, with lots of pretty spring greenery and flowers, and Irene with Irene Tyndale Events executed the day to perfection.  Sarah Kate and James, thanks so much for choosing me to capture your day!  Best wishes! xoxo Venue & Catering: Emory Conference Center Hotel – Courtyard Green & Silverbell Pavilion Planner: Irene Tyndale Events Officiant: Rev. Jordan + Patrick | Hampton Park Charleston Wedding

Jordan + Patrick | Hampton Park Charleston Wedding

Jordan + Patrick | Hampton Park Charleston Wedding Jordan and Patrick’s outdoor wedding in the middle of Hampton Park in Charleston was simply gorgeous.  Jordan and her lovely bridesmaids got ready at the Francis Marion Hotel, which is a really historic and pretty Downtown Charleston hotel.  Jordan chose the prettiest tropical robes for her and her bridesmaids to wear while getting ready, they were a fun detail!  Jordan’s flowy Leanne Marshall dress was perfect for the outdoor vibe of the wedding, I loved it! The weather was a perfect 75 degrees as they said their vows underneath a huge live oak in the park in front of their family and friends.  I was particularly spoiled by this gorgeous Charleston wedding because not only did Jordan and Patrick opt to do a first look, but it allowed us over an hour of portrait time with them together and the entire bridal party.  We strolled through the roses and azaleas along Spanish moss lined paths (swoon), which made for some stunning images. After the vows were exchanged, an amazing time was had by all dancing the night away under the stars at Upstairs at Midtown, a super unique and urban wedding venue on King Street – I was even able to perch on a rooftop next to the outdoor dance floor to take photos.  There was so much historic character at their venue, from the original wood floors to the exposed brick and coffered ceilings, it was a wonderful choice for a Downtown Charleston wedding venue.  So fun!  I adored working with you two, congratulations and best wishes! xoxo Getting Ready...

Allyson + Joe | Old Medical College Augusta, GA Wedding Photography Allyson and Joe were married at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church in Augusta on a gorgeous fall day in front of their family and friends – and the number of gorgeous touches and details made this day extra special and beautiful.  We split their portrait time together between the campus of Augusta University and the Old Medical College where the reception was, and we got such great variety!  After a yummy sit down meal, they danced the night away with their guests.  So much fun!  I loved traveling for this Augusta destination wedding and hope to make it back to shoot in this pretty Southern town again soon!
