Jacqueline + Josh | Biltmore Atlanta Wedding

Jacqueline + Josh | Biltmore Atlanta Wedding When I first met Jacqueline, she seemed oddly familiar to me, but I couldn’t put my finger on it.  Turns out, our older sisters are best friends in Nashville, and it was one of those wow moments where the world felt very, very small.  Jacqueline is like my spirit animal, and the bond and love that she and Josh share is amazing to see!  Their wedding was a unique one for sure – they shared in a very private ceremony prior to photography beginning, and then danced and celebrated the night away with family and friends at the Biltmore Ballrooms in Downtown Atlanta.  The entire day was fantastic, with fantastic people, details, food and love!  Best wishes you two!  xoxo   Vendors Getting Ready: Embassy Suites Wedding Ceremony: Cathedral of Christ the King Reception: The Biltmore Hotel Floral Design, Decorating & Catering: Bold American Events & Catering Cake Design: Rhodes Family Bakery Band: The Gentlemen of Swing Wedding Dress: Allure, from Anya Bridal Shoes: Badgley Mischka Jewelry: Ross Simons Hair: Akiko, Salon Next Makeup: Leslee, Woo Costmetics Invitations: Crane... read more
Megan + Parker | A Summer Wedding at The Wheeler House

Megan + Parker | A Summer Wedding at The Wheeler House

Megan + Parker | A Summer Wedding at The Wheeler House The anticipation built as he stood in the lawn of the Wheeler House, awaiting the moment when he was able to first see his bride.  As he turned around, she literally took his breath away and almost to his knees.  They shared a sweet embrace as their tears flowed together.  It was such a beautiful first look.  During the ceremony, there were many additional tears shed.  Not tears of sadness but tears of pure, unfiltered Joy!  Emotional and joyful weddings are my absolute favorite, and I think I shed a tear or two, also. Megan + Parker’s summer outdoor Georgia wedding was held at the quaint Wheeler House, a specialty wedding Venue just north of Atlanta.  I had never been there and am always a tad bit nervous when working at new places for the first time.  However once I arrived, I realized that my need to arrive very early to scout was pretty unnecessary – there was great light, great green trees and flowers and a perfectly appointed bridal suite, grooms suite and rustic barn ballroom.  Every detail was just absolute perfection. xoxo     Venue: The Wheeler House Flowers: Sandy Springs Flowers Wedding Dress: Maggie Sottero from David’s Bridal Styling: Chandler Thomas, Claiborne’s Groom/Groomsmen’s Suits: Express DJ: The TC... read more
Emily + Jeff | Summer Primrose Cottage Wedding

Emily + Jeff | Summer Primrose Cottage Wedding

She attended the same elementary and middle school as he did and they likely crossed paths as children on the playground or in the hallway, but never knew it.  Throughout their childhoods, though close but not connected, God formed them in to the adults they would be when they met during their senior year in high school.  A surprise Christmas Eve trip to New York City (one of their favorite places), and a surprise guest photographer (her sister) laid the foundation for a simply amazing New York City proposal.  Right in front of the Christmas Tree in Bryant Park!  After an excited “yes!!”, a crowd of well-wishers applauded and congratulated them.  It couldn’t have been more perfect. Their wedding ceremony was one that touched me personally, with deep ties to their shared faith, the sharing of their first communion together as husband and wife and a pretty epic entrance and exit.  I have shot many weddings at Primrose Cottage, and this one is certainly one of my favorites! xoxo   Getting Ready Venue, Hair & Makeup: The District Salon Wedding & Reception Venue: Primrose Cottage Catering & Flowers: A Divine Event Cake Design: Frosted Pumpkin DJ: Spectrum Entertainment Wedding Dress: Stella York from Bride Beautiful Bridesmaid Dresses: Bill Levkoff from Bride Beautiful Shoes: Betsey Johnson Groom & Groomsmen Attire: Savvi Formalwear Invitations: Invitations by Dawn Emily + Jeff | Summer Primrose Cottage... read more
Jordan + Patrick | Chattahoochee River Engagement

Jordan + Patrick | Chattahoochee River Engagement

Jordan + Patrick | Chattahoochee River Engagement Jordan and Patrick are getting married next spring in Charleston (eeekk!!!!) and I’m SO excited!  A good photographer friend referred the to me, and it turned out that we have so many mutual friends!  Patrick is a fly fisherman, and when Jordan requested a river setting for their engagement session I loved that idea as well, because it was so them.  I scouted for a bit trying to find the perfect river engagement session spot,  which brought us to the Chattahoochee Coffee Company in Atlanta. It’s a little tricky to get to, and I’m not totally sure we weren’t breaking any rules (shhhhh) however this place was just unreal….. so may cute and unique spots, and of course the gorgeous Chattahoochee River.  We had fun exploring the grounds and laughing, and even though Jordan got about 100 mosquito bites she was a trooper!  You two – I’m so excited to celebrate with you soon!  xoxo... read more
Vannessa + Anthony | Victoria Belle Mansion Wedding

Vannessa + Anthony | Victoria Belle Mansion Wedding

Vannessa + Anthony | Victoria Belle Mansion Wedding Strolling through a vineyard during a perfect golden hour, they embraced one another with a soft handhold, each smitten with the other and thinking “we did it!”  If I could sum up Vannessa and Anthony’s southern wedding at the Victoria Belle Mansion in just a few words, it’d be these:  soft, gentle colors with a ton of joyful, energetic love.  From my brief time meeting these two for the first time just a few days before their wedding (they lived in Tennessee and we were not able to match our schedules up!) I knew that they would be wonderful to work with.  With deeply rooted family ties in both the South and the North, Vannessa + Anthony were a match made in heaven.  I mean, their wedding day hashtag was #hesaysyoushesaysyall …… pretty much the sweetest and most appropriate for them and their wedding!  I was also given a new challenge – capturing them and all of their guests in a group photo!  Armed with my trusty three step stool and a wide lens, we nailed it! V + A, it was so wonderful working with you guys!  xoxo   Venue: Victoria Belle Mansion & Barn Flowers: DeSires Flowers Styling: Morgan Jones Hair & Makeup Dress: Maggie Sottero from Wedding Belles, Clarksville TN DJ: DJ Dano Videographer: Peerless... read more
Jenny + Ryan | Lakeside Wedding at Indigo Falls

Jenny + Ryan | Lakeside Wedding at Indigo Falls

Jenny + Ryan | Lakeside Wedding at Indigo Falls As she descended down the steps towards the lake where her groom awaited, she saw his breath catch in his chest, his best man giving him an encouraging squeeze on his shoulder as he watched her float toward him on her daddy’s arm – with a huge, excited smile.  After the vows were exchanged and sealed with a kiss, lots of fun bridal party photos (on an island?  In Georgia?) and romantic couple’s portraits were captured at just the perfect time – a sunny, spring golden hour.  Their departure in a vintage mustang finished their reception filled with dancing and laughter.  A truly magical day!  Jenny + Ryan, I’m so glad to call you friends and I hope that you cherish these images as you cherish each other.  It was an honor to capture them for you! xoxo   Venue: Indigo Falls Events Officiant: Rev. Caitlin + Taylor | An Elegant Georgian Terrace Hotel Wedding

Caitlin + Taylor | An Elegant Georgian Terrace Hotel Wedding

Caitlin + Taylor | An Elegant Georgian Terrace Hotel Wedding She spotted him across the room during her first week at a new job – and she was smitten indeed.  Slowly but surely, they became friends.  However, it took until she left for a new job to really go out on a limb and ask him out for an after work happy hour.  Well, she did join a kickball team in order to spend more time with him, too.  After that first date (which ended in their first kiss, too…..) they both knew it was something special.  Taylor planned an elaborate proposal, including family and friends, all while keeping her in the dark the entire time!  And her ring… well it is a double family heirloom, with diamonds from BOTH of their grandmothers.  Custom designed and perfect in every way.  The first time I met Caitlin and her Momma at Rev Coffee in Smyrna on a cold March day, I was immediately drawn to their bond with one another, and the joyful nature that both of them had.  One of the traits that my ideal bride has is to be JOYFUL, and oh boy did I find this in both Caitlin and Taylor.  As you’ll see in their photos, they laughed and smiled and were just so full of joy the entire day, my little photographer heart could just burst.  Their amazingly elegant Georgian Terrace Wedding is one that I’ll always remember, which was exquisitely planned and detailed by an amazing vendor team (credits below).  We did have some heavy rain during and after the ceremony, but the smiles... read more
Atlanta Lifestyle Newborn Session

Atlanta Lifestyle Newborn Session

Atlanta Lifestyle Newborn Session Big brother excitedly runs to the door to greet me, not sure what my suitcase or pile of blankets is all about, but there’s a new person in the house and he’s carefully curious!  Turns out, this sweet two and a half year old firecracker wasn’t quite ready to be on board about a new member of the family invading his space!  However, lots of bribery (nerf gun!), multiple candies (smarties!! I don’t leave home without them) and coercing got big brother secretly interested in this baby human of his…. I even got a few kisses and lots of big smiles!  I really love capturing portraits of a new baby and family in their own home (aka a “lifestyle session”), incorporating their own day-to-day surroundings and familiar spaces.  With a big sibling under the age of 5, keeping them in their familiar home is super helpful as well.  Enjoy!... read more
Teresa + Cole | Neverland Farms Mountain Wedding

Teresa + Cole | Neverland Farms Mountain Wedding

Teresa + Cole | Neverland Farms Mountain Wedding As she came around the bend with her father, being pulled by two regal, black draft horses, he unknowingly held his breath, waiting for her to be close enough to grab that first glance.  His soon to be wife, being brought to him to make her walk down the aisle in a horse drawn carriage like a princess, couldn’t have fit their love story more perfectly.  Teresa + Cole are lovers of horses, the outdoors, their families and each other.  Their choice of Neverland Farms as their North Georgia wedding venue could not have fit them more perfectly.  From the trees awakening from their winter rest, barely peeking green, to the animals excited for the crisp spring air and everything in between, this is a special place.  Driving up the gravel road to reach the farm in Cleveland, Georgia, one can tell they are stepping into another world.  Time stops here.  Social Media stops here (good luck getting a phone signal) and I thoroughly enjoyed working with Teresa + Cole’s families, with Suzy, who owns and manages the property and her amazing team.  It was a gorgeous (but unseasonably chilly) spring day full of love and laughter and dancing. Rachel + Barrett | Four Seasons Atlanta Wedding

Rachel + Barrett | Four Seasons Atlanta Wedding

Rachael + Barrett | Four Seasons Atlanta Wedding There was an anxious excitement in the air as I arrived at the Four Seasons in Atlanta to capture Rachael + Barrett’s intimate winter wedding.  Rachael walked down the aisle to greet her groom, and he came halfway to meet her, quiet excitement in his eyes as he gave her a quick kiss on her cheek.  They had been waiting for a long time for this moment.  A special ring blessing ceremony was performed, and as the rings were passed around, so that each guest could warm them with their hands and say a prayer if they wished, I stood in awe at such a special, unique tradition.  As Rachael read her letter to Barrett and he did the same to her, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.  The new couple and guest enjoyed a lively evening full of great food and fellowship, and I am so honored to have been a part of their gorgeous Four Seasons Atlanta wedding.   Wedding & Reception Venue, Catering, Cake: Four Seasons Atlanta Four Seasons Coordinator: Nora Schlesinger Officiant: Rev.
